MSDhoni - The Name & Title in one

The Best Closer & Best Captain of Indian Cricket announced his retirement too in style..just as he finishes off the game in style - On an Independence Day @19:29 hrs!!

MS, you have been on National Duty for a long time (strikes a chord? remember, these words of him??) & what better day to say adieu than ToDay!!

No pomp, no mikes, no glittering flood lights or crowd. Just as the day of National Importance was coming to a close, without stealing the thunder away, announces poignantly with a simple “Thanks” & a video clip, as calmly as the MAN himself.

Many Cricketing Legends come & go..but there’ll be no better Closer / Finisher than you. You believed more in the process of achieving results than the results itself !! You are the embodiment of resilience, handling critical situations calmly, team spirit, remaining grounded both during the win & loss and letting juniors take the limelight during the victorious moments. You lived by example.

Mahi, You made as all proud, You brought immense laurels, You held the Nation in your Heart, You rewrote the history of Indian Cricket & You ignited the dreams of the GenNext. And, we will cherish You, wear you in our sleeve & keep celebrating you forever. 'Dhoni' isn’t just a name, it’s an emotion to us Indians.

Good-byes are never easy but you have given us a lot to rejoice & be proud of. And it is time, we let you have your well-deserved retirement & bid adieu.

Thank you, Legend, for all the great moments!! The memories you gave us will never retire!! Happy Retirement!!

  6. Tough to find words to express ones veneration for this legend, but you brought this out admirably. The word "incomparable" should add MSD as its Synonym in English Thesaurus
